The two points where renovations most often go wrong are the floor waste level and the tap position. A floor waste set slightly too high leaves water sitting in the shower base permanently. A mixer body set at the wrong depth means the tile setout has to change, or the handle sits proud of the wall. Both are trivial to avoid at rough-in stage and painful to fix once tiled - which is why we like to see the tile layout and actual fixture specs before rough-in, not after, since different tapware brands have different body depths.

Waterproofing is a separate licensed trade, but it depends on what the plumbing does underneath it - the floor needs consistent fall to the waste with no flat spots, and the floor waste flange has to be set for the finished floor level, not the screed level. If you're re-doing a shower because it's been leaking, the original failure is often at a penetration or junction rather than the middle of the membrane.

We also handle fixture relocation - moving a toilet, shifting a vanity to the other wall, converting a bath to a walk-in shower, or moving a kitchen sink to an island. All achievable, and we assess the waste line's fall and where it connects back into the existing drainage before you commit to a layout. Kitchens bring their own considerations too, particularly island benches, where water and waste need to be run through the slab or floor before it's poured or closed up.
