Bittern

Bittern is a mix of township housing and larger semi-rural blocks on the Western Port side of the Peninsula. It's a quieter area to work in, and much of the housing is at the age where several things come due at once.

We'll flag what's coming rather than only fixing what broke - particularly useful on housing at the age where several things fall due together.

A lot of the township housing here dates from a period where the original hot water system has usually been replaced once and is due again, and where tapware, mixer cartridges and cistern valves are all reaching the end of their working life. None of these are complicated jobs individually - they're simply cheaper handled together than as separate call-outs spread across a year.

Older properties may still have original clay sewer sections, and where there are mature trees nearby, root intrusion is the most likely cause of repeat blockages. A camera inspection tells you whether the pipe is sound enough for periodic maintenance jetting or has actually failed.

On the larger blocks, tank water and onsite wastewater systems are common, and long underground service runs make leaks harder to spot. Both need checking on a schedule rather than only when something goes obviously wrong.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do drains block so often in older Frankston streets?

Mature street trees plus original clay sewer pipework. Roots find the joints and build into a mat that catches everything passing through. A camera inspection will show whether it's minor root intrusion or a damaged section.

Do you work with Frankston property managers?

Yes. We coordinate access with tenants directly, supply before-and-after photos with the invoice, and can bill the managing agency rather than the owner.
